Dear Rusty Coffman Memorial supporters,

Thank you for your past support of the Rusty Coffman Memorial Foundation through purchase of the Cancer Awareness Bracelet and/or participation in the annual golf tournament.

It is with mixed emotions that we have decided to bring the foundation to a close, a move necessitated by increasing family and work demands on the core group of volunteers who make up the foundation. It is truly bittersweet for me and the board of directors – Chris Gibson, Ron Willard II and Brenda Coffman – who worked so hard to organize the tournament each year and manage the foundation's affairs.

We would like to recognize and sincerely thank Cindy Pagans and Shelby Simmons who spearheaded the cancer awareness bracelet project. Red and Betty Coffman, Rusty’s parents, have also been a strong presence for the foundation and we thank them for their dedication and support.

In our five years of existence the Rusty Coffman Memorial Foundation proudly donated $56,000 to cancer research, $18,000 to Hospice of Franklin County and provided $18,000 in scholarships to six deserving students at Narrows High School in Rusty's hometown of Narrows, V irginia.

Rusty’s spirit and the lessons he taught us by how he led his life will stay with us forever, foundation or not. Again, thank you for helping to make it all possible.

Andie Gibson, Director
